Written by PR release PHE

roman_holiday150.jpgIn keeping with its ongoing commitment to retrieving and presenting treasured films from its nearly 100-year history, Paramount Home Entertainment will launch of a new line of classics that were digitally mastered and restored called the Paramount Centennial Collection.   Debuting on DVD November 11, 2008, the first three titles in the collection will be Roman Holiday (1953), Sunset Blvd. (1950) and Sabrina (1954). All three films will be available in a 2-disc set including an 8-page Collectible booklet. Titles in the Paramount Centennial Collection will undergo processes using the latest digital technology for pristine presentations to protect these classics for generations to come, and most will include new bonus features highlighting elements of the film or Paramount's rich cinematic history.

Starring Gregory Peck and Audrey Hepburn and directed by William Wyler, Roman Holiday won three Oscars for Best Actress in a Leading Role, Best Costume Design and Best Writing.   Hepburn is at her transcendent best as a sheltered princess who falls for an American newsman in Rome in this timeless classic.

Director Billy Wilder's cinematic masterpiece Sunset Blvd. captures the often disturbing reality behind Hollywood's illusions with stellar performances by Gloria Swanson and William Holden.   The film was nominated for 11 Oscars, including Best Picture, and won three for Best Art Direction, Best Music and Best Writing.

Humphrey Bogart, Audrey Hepburn and William Holden star in Sabrina, the comedic story of a classic love triangle directed by Billy Wilder.   The film garnered six Oscar nominations and won for Best Costume Design.
