These are films the entire family can enjoy. As Christmas approaches, an angel (played by the illustrious Cary Grant) arrives to help an Episcopal Bishop raise money for a new cathedral in the Academy Award-winning The Bishop's Wife (1947). The film won an Oscar for Best Sound, and received four other Academy Award-nominations - Best Director, Best Film Editing, Best Music and Best Picture. The movie was remade in 1996 as The Preacher's Wife.

Originally entitled Babes in Toyland and based on Victor Herbert's 1903 operetta of the same name, the madcap screen antics of Laurel and Hardy bring to life the unforgettable March of the Wooden Soldiers (1934). This time-honored black-and-white film follows the comedic duo as they battle to save Toyland from the evil Barnaby and his Bogeymen.

Nominated for three Academy Awards including Best Supporting Actor (Peter Falk), Best Costume Design and Best Original Song, Frank Capra's Pocketful of Miracles

(1961) is all about Christmastime miracles. The uplifting film stars Glenn Ford, Bette Davis, Hope Lange and a distinguished supporting cast including Peter Falk and Edward Everett Horton. Set in 1930s New York, Ann-Margret makes her film debut in this entertaining comedy about a gangster who repays an apple peddler by helping her appear as an upper crust society lady when her daughter comes for a visit.

March of the Wooden Soldiers

Although Dee (Hardy) and Dum (Laurel) do everything wrong at their toy factory job, when they learn that Mother Peep and her daughter Bo are about to be evicted, they try to do right by helping the damsels. Hoping to borrow money from their boss to prevent the sweet little shepherdess from having to marry the sinister landlord, Dee and Dum are instead fired! Not only that, but Barnaby wants to shut the factory down and ruin the holidays for all the children expecting toys! It's up to the big-hearted, hilarious duo to gain help from the rest of the fairy tale citizenry to stop the wedding, save the factory and celebrate the holidays!

Pocketful of Miracles
