Featuring one of the most prolific and successful comedy duos in film history, the DEAN MARTIN & JERRY LEWIS COLLECTION Volume Two arrives on June 5 from Paramount Home Entertainment, boasting five classic movies that have never been available on DVD before, each with brand new transfers. The Collection includes Living It Up, You're Never Too Young, Artists and Models, Pardners and Hollywood Or Bust.
The 1954 comedy treasure Living It Up was one of Martin and Lewis' top-grossing pictures ever and has never been released on any home video format. It was the duo's second color film together and features the show-stopping musical number 'Ev'ry Street's a Boulevard in Old New York' and was billed as the first film to include a "rock 'n' roll dance performance."
1955's You're Never Too Young was a remake of Billy Wilder's The Major and the Minor and was filmed in Paramount's high-fidelity VistaVision photographic system. The movie co-stars Raymond Burr and was filmed in part on location in Lake Arrowhead and at Los Angeles' Union Station.
Also released in 1955, Artists and Models was directed by legendary Warner Bros. animator Frank Tashlin and co-stars a young Shirley MacLaine in her second film role. The DVD is presented in an all-new digital transfer from the 8-perf VistaVision elements.
Martin and Lewis' 15th film as a team, Pardners, was released in 1956 and also is presented with an all-new digital transfer from the 8-perf VistaVision elements. The film co-stars Agnes Moorehead, Lee Van Cleef and Lon Chaney, Jr. and featues Jerry Lewis' unforgettable song and dance number 'Buckskin Beauty'.
The second Martin and Lewis film directed by Frank Tashlin, Hollywood Or Bust was the duo's 16th and last film together as a team. The film includes a spectacular opening in which the pair salutes movie fans around the world and also features loads of vintage location footage from 1956 of Los Angeles and Las Vegas landmarks and the Paramount Studios lot.
The DEAN MARTIN & JERRY LEWIS COLLECTION Volume Two is available for $34.99. Living It Up is presented in full screen with Dolby Digital English and French mono and English subtitles. Artists And Models, You're Never Too Young, Hollywood Or Bust and Pardners are presented in widescreen enhanced for 16:9 TVs with Dolby Digital English and French Mono and English subtitles.
